A groomed brow can shed a whole new light on your facial appearance (literally). From your face shape and structure, to even making you appear more youthful! And who wouldn’t want that?
Have you ever thought to yourself “If they were only a little more arched” or “slightly thicker” or “not so bare?” I have in the past. I used to have over tweezed (or “plucked” as some of you might say), thin, barely arched eyebrows that were 4 shades lighter than my natural hair color.
Well, there is a fix to that! All it takes is a little love, maintenance, and possibly trying something new. Tinting! Yes, tinting your brows makes a huge difference the first time I do this on every client they are pleasantly surprised. Also, waxing them to compliment the shape of their face and maybe even arching them a bit.
The rule for most brow tinting is as follows:
Brunettes tint brows within 1-2 shades lighter or darker by preference
Blondes tint brows the same or within 1-2 shades darker, but never light than base color
There are exceptions to the rule. Like me:) I personally prefer really dark brows and have lighter hair. The darker the better! I think it frames my face well, but also my hair is sparse so I like to make it bold. Not only do I like the color to stand out, but I like my brows relatively arched.
If you’ve never had your brows tinted or waxed, then your missing out! I would say this in my top 5 best kept beauty secrets.
“The surprised look has always been my way of fooling people of age” a client once told me. Most women look more alive and alert with a little arch. It’s an instant eye lift taking off your under brow!
Eyebrow tinting and eyebrow waxing is a service that can be done and should be by a salon professional.
